GAs have a 20-hour work week commitment to an academic or administrative office. GA hours must be completed on campus and during regular business hours, which are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. They are required to take at least 8 and no more than 14 credits of coursework per semester.
Aims and Benefits of the University of Tampa Florida Graduate Fellowship Program
For the forthcoming semester, a full-time GA is qualified to earn a tuition waiver for 8–12 graduate level credits. A full-time GA whose assistantship is renewed will receive tuition assistance for a total of 36 credit hours. Additionally, a full-time GA is given a $1,500 stipend each semester, which is handled by the Financial Aid Office.
Qualifications for the University of Tampa Florida Graduate Assistance Program
Graduate students who meet the requirements may apply for graduate assistantships (GA) beginning in the autumn or spring semesters. GAs are only available by invitation and are given out on a competitive basis based on a student's academic record. GA tuition assistance is only provided during the autumn and spring semesters.
