A group of young people noticed the need for an intense program in 2017 because the majority of entrepreneurship events at the time were focused on fostering the growth of established entrepreneurs rather than new ones.
Giving the realization an event-like format, the team created and ran the Global Entrepreneurship Bootcamp (GEB) in Kakani, Nepal, from September 2–4.
A 4-day educational/leadership workshop for young people called Global Entrepreneurship Bootcamp was first presented. Young, creative minds from all around the world were brought together by GEB and put on a shared platform where they could collaborate to invent and launch new enterprises.
The main goal of GEB has always been to give participants a life-changing experience that will help them get the entrepreneurial skills they need to launch their own business.
The GEB provides a platform for interaction with mentors, established businesspeople who are eager to understand the ideas of aspiring entrepreneurs and direct them toward creating a successful firm.
The second Bootcamp was held from January 15 to January 18 in Bangkok, Thailand as a result of the first edition's popularity. Similarly, the third Bootcamp took place from July 2 to July 5 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The fourth GEB was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from December 17 to December 20, 2018, the fifth in Bangkok, Thailand from June 27 to June 30, 2019, and the sixth in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from December 16 to 19 2019. The seventh iteration of Bootcamp was held in Bangkok, Thailand, from July 22–25, 2022, following COVID.
By the seventh edition, GEB had evolved gradually from a leadership and instructional session on business to a link between creative thinkers and international investors. GEB has continuously updated and changed its format in order to make it easier for young brains while preserving its originality.
With a particular emphasis on Asian and African nations where the entrepreneurial environment is missing and entrepreneurship is still a relatively new concept, GEB has always placed a strong emphasis on disseminating entrepreneurial education.
