  • Do you have a Master's degree and no more than two years of relevant professional experience, or a Bachelor's degree and no more than three years?

About United Nations Development Programme UNDP

Aims and Benefit of UNDP Graduate Program for Young Graduates.

The Graduate Programme presents a special chance to support UNDP's mission. A 2-year assignment with one of our national, regional, or corporate offices is involved. The Sustainable Development Goals are addressed in assignments, with an emphasis on two streams:
  • Program and Policy: In this stream, you will participate in projects and programs run by UNDP.
  • Corporate Operations: In this stream, you will either work in the area of organizational policies, procedures, and oversight, or you will contribute to management services that support the successful implementation of UNDP programs.
Successful candidates will be added to the Graduate Programme Pool and given the option of accepting an assignment with one of UNDP's 170 offices throughout the world.

Requirements/Qualifications for the UNDP Graduate Programme for Young Graduates.

Candidates must be available to start working for UNDP in the first quarter of 2023 and must meet the following criteria:

Graduate Program of the UNDP
  • A Master's degree that has been earned in a related discipline and at least two years of work experience, or
  • A Bachelor's degree that has been earned in a relevant field (with a minimum of 2 years and not more than 3 years of relevant, paid work experience)

UNDP welcomes applications from students enrolled in a variety of relevant degree programs:
  • You must hold a degree in one or more of the following fields to be qualified for the Programme and Policy stream: political science, public administration, international relations, development studies, economics, statistics, data management, environmental science, or a field closely related. Please look over UNDP's areas of expertise.
  • You must have completed your undergraduate degree in one or more of the following fields in order to be eligible for the Corporate Operations stream: business or public administration, finance, law, procurement or supply chain management, human resources management, economics, data management, or a closely related field.

You will have some experience in one or more of the following fields: business operations, project management, partnerships, innovation, digitalization, or data analysis and management. Preferably, you will have striven to have an impact at the local, state, or federal level (including in civil society, government, NGOs, IGOs or individually).

Graduate Program of the UNDP English proficiency

You must be able to show that you can work productively in a professional setting and that you speak English with fluency.

A working understanding of French, Arabic, or Spanish may be a big plus for several jobs.

Please be aware that English will be used for the application and selection processes. Unless otherwise specified, you must submit your whole application in English.

Selection Criteria

You will be requested to complete online tests designed to evaluate the aforementioned competencies if your application satisfies the criteria outlined in this vacancy announcement and is of interest to UNDP.
