Alliance for Innovative Research for Nigerian Researchers, TETFUND 2022

Alliance for Innovative Research for Nigerian Researchers, TETFUND 2022

The TETFUND sponsors the one-year-long initiative known as TETFAIR.

An exceptional chance for academics and researchers in Nigerian universities to turn their concepts into commercially viable solutions, including the creation of prototypes.

Selected teams of researchers and academic personnel will be guided through a path that combines technology and product development with venture formation and have ideas for novel solutions in one of our areas of focus.

About Tertiary Education Trust Fund TETFUND

Act No. 7 of 1993, as amended by Act No. 40 of 1998, established the Education Trust Fund (ETF), which later became the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) (now repealed and replaced with Tertiary Education Trust Fund Act 2011). With the primary goal of employing money and project management for the rehabilitation, restoration, and consolidation of Tertiary Education in Nigeria, it is an intervention agency created to provide additional support to all levels of public tertiary institutions.

The two percent education tax collected on the assessable profit of businesses registered in Nigeria is the Fund's primary source of funding. For the benefit of the Fund, the Federal Inland Revenue Services (FIRS) assesses and collects the tax.
