Applications are now being accepted for the AUT International Excellence Scholarships, which are given to international students with exceptional academic records to help defray the cost of attending school in New Zealand.
Scholarships are offered by Auckland University of Technology (AUT) and the Faculty of Culture and Society to recognize and assist outstanding overseas students as they begin their path to become outstanding AUT graduates.
About the Auckland University of Technology (AUT)
A previous technical college was given university status on January 1, 2000, creating Auckland University of Technology, a university in New Zealand. With over 29,100 students enrolled across three campuses in Auckland, AUT is New Zealand's third-largest university overall.
Aims and Benefits of AUT International Excellence Scholarships
- The scholarship includes a $7,000 fee donation.
- 35 scholarships are available.
Qualification/Requirement for AUT International Excellence Scholarships
- The applicant must be an international student who has paid all fees (Note: International students are students who are neither citizens, permanent residents nor resident visa holders of New Zealand or Australia).
- A current and genuine conditional or unconditional offer to enroll in a Faculty of Culture and Society program is required of applicants (undergraduate level or above, excluding doctoral and at least 120 points).
- The application form will prompt applicants to enter their AUT Student ID in the appropriate section. 4. Academic achievement and the strength of the personal statement are the two criteria used to award scholarships (no more than 200 words).
- Candidates must disclose whether they have applied for any other scholarships, both domestically (given by AUT) and outside(e.g Government Scholarship).

Required Documents for the Application
Application materials must be uploaded by:
- Offer to study at AUT is still in effect and is either unconditional or conditional.
- A thorough academic record that includes the most recent qualification's grading system.
- If relevant, a certificate of completion (such as a bachelor's degree certificate).
- A 200-word maximum personal statement outlining your motivation for applying for the award and your perspective on what winning it would mean to you.
- By the deadline, all supporting documents must be uploaded; otherwise, the application will be rejected.

- Applications can be submitted online at www.aut.ac.nz/scholarships, which is open in March and October.
- The Faculty of Culture and Society AUT International Excellence Scholarships application must be completed online through the AUT Scholarships database.
- Candidates must meet the requirements for the category under which they are applying and must choose one of the categories from which they wish to be considered.
