The MPhil and PhD degree programs at the Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (ACECoR), which was founded as part of the World Bank's Africa Centre of Excellence (ACE) for Development Impact Project and is housed at the Centre for Coastal Management, University of Ghana Cape Coast, Ghana, are accepting applications from qualified national, regional, and international candidates.
Students accepted to the MPhil and PhD programs in ACECoR are eligible to receive a scholarship award to help them finish the program. The scholarships pay for schooling, lodging, stipends each month, field research grants, as well as other supplies and technical assistance.
The grant will help students present their original research findings at national and international conferences and will pay for the publication of articles submitted to prestigious journals.
Continual financial support is dependent on academic performance as determined by yearly performance reports.
About World Bank
The World Bank Group is a distinctive global partnership, consisting of five institutions working to find long-term solutions that lessen poverty and foster shared prosperity in developing nations. It has 189 member countries, staff from more than 170 countries, and offices in more than 130 locations.
IBRD and IDA work together to establish the World Bank, which offers financial support, policy recommendations, and technical help to governments of developing nations. While IBRD helps middle-income and creditworthy poorer countries, IDA concentrates on the world's poorest nations. We operate as a single entity to support our partner countries, despite the fact that each of our five institutions has its own country membership, governing boards, and articles of agreement. The private sector must be involved in the solution if the development issues of today are to be overcome.
However, the public sector lays the foundation for private investment, allowing it to flourish. The World Bank Group has a special ability to connect global financial resources, knowledge, and innovative solutions to the needs of developing nations because of the complementing responsibilities played by our institutions.
